Dr Dewe comes to ACKM and delivers a seminar on "Epigenetics"

In one of his many visits to ACKM in Sydney, Dr Dewe delivered an informative and inspiring talk on the growing field of "Epigenetics".  He shared the latest research on how nutrition, our thoughts and kinesiology can affect the expression of our genes and ultimately how we turn out.  Approximately 50 students from all colleges turned up and were thouroughly entertained. ACKM will be bringing more of these seminars with Dr Dewe to students in the future at the college campus in Sydney.
ICPKP Australasia registered as a Registered Training Organisation with ASQA (formerly known as VETAB) in Australia.  www.icpkp.edu.au

Dr Bruce Dewe, honoured in 2005 as a founding father of Kinesiology alongside Dr George Goodheart & Dr John Thie, becomes partners with Arthur Bablis, CEO of ACKM, and establish ICPKP Australasia (ICPKPA) together.  After some great work by the whole team, in June 2010, ICPKPA became registered with ASQA (formerly known as VETAB) in NSW, RTO No: 90826,  to deliver the Certificate IV in Kinesiology (HLT42807) and Diploma of Kinesiology (HLT51507) Australia wide.  The exciting thing is that Dr Dewe & Arthur Bablis are exploring additional Nationally endorsed qualifications to add to ICPKPA's scope.  The purpose of ICPKPA is to give any student who finishes their training with an ICPKP International approved college the opportunity to become an instructor themselves and be able to promote a national qualification teaching others to help others on behalf of ICPKPA.  ACKM is appointed as a leading Kinesiology College Campus of ICPKP Australasia.
Arthur Bablis elected President of the Australian Institute of Kinesiologist Ltd - AIK

In March 2010, Arthur Bablis, CEO of ACKM, is elected by his collegues to the role of President of the Australian Institute of Kinesiologists Ltd - AIK

"Its is certainly humbling to be voted by your peers and be given the opportunity to serve this facinating industry.  The aim of the AIK is to support all students from all colleges and provide a platform from which we can all lift the standard of kinesiology in the market place today.  The AIK have a dedicated team of National Executives, who voluteer their time for the service of others and kinesiology.  It is their efforts that provide us with this foundation. We all should be gratitude for their support."
ICPKP Australasia approved with CENTERLINK & AUSTUDY

In February 2011, ICPKP Australasia was approved and registered with Centerlink (Institution Code No: 2R014).  The approval is for ICPKP Australasia's nationally endorsed programs through ASQA being the Certificate IV in Kinesiology (HLT42807) & Diploma of Kinesiology (HLT51507).  Students may be eligible for financial assistance on both of these programs.  Students enquiring about their entitlement for Youth Allowance, Austudy payment and Pensioner Education Supplement should call the Centrelink Call Centre on 132490.
Dr Bruce & Joan Dewe teach an International Faculty 1 course at ACKM.  Arthur Bablis of ACKM appointed as a Faculty 1 Trainer for ICPKP in Australia.

In February 2010, 18 ICPKP Certificate students gathered from all over the world to embark on a journey to become ICPKP Instructors themeselves at ACKM.  Dr Bruce & Joan Dewe where delivering their first ICPKP FAC 1 training in Sydney since 2000.  The workshop had students from QLD, NSW, Vic, plus New York USA.  The 10 days spent together were challenging in deed for all, however after lots of inspiring stories and educational tips from Dr Bruce & Joan Dewe we were all better for it.  This workshop also saw the appointment of Australia's first ICPKP International FAC 1 trainers.  Arthur Bablis, Senior Faculty and CEO of ACKM in Sydney, plus Ed Faust, Senior Faculty and CEO of Kinesiology Connection in Melbourne, were both awarded with this honour.
